We acknowledge the systemic oppression of

Black and Brown women, and LGBTQ families.

We are actively working to to improve their birth experiences and outcomes.

 

  • Breastfeeding

    We recognize that historical trauma, working conditions, marketing - and more - have negatively impacted Black, Brown and LGBTQ families’ options and ability to breastfeed.

    Outer Village will actively support and directly enable those who wish to breast and chest feed, through tools, support, education and community connections.

  • Access

    We recognize that postpartum care and services are a privilege currently accessible to very few.

    We offer services on a sliding scale and do not deny support to families who are unable to pay.

  • Community

    We recognize that isolation intensifies the postpartum experience, and can drive negative outcomes.

    Outer Village is dedicated to connecting a diverse community of families who can learn and grow togeher.
